Stop Waiting for “Perfect” — You Deserve to Be Seen Now

Some of you may feel this one deep. You know you’re overdue for new headshots or branding photos—but you’re stuck thinking, “I’m just not photogenic” or “I’ll wait until I lose a few pounds.” So, you put it off. Again. And again. Sound familiar?

Trust me—you’re not alone. I hear this from clients all the time. But let’s work through it together.

That One Mel Robbins Line That Hit Me in the Face

While listening to an episode of the Mel Robbins Podcast with my lovely wife, Nicole, I overheard a line that stopped me in my tracks. The episode talked about how picky we can be with the photos we allow ourselves to share. Then Mel said something that flipped my perspective:

I walk outside and talk to people exactly how I look right now… so why am I afraid to be seen in photos?

We actually paused the episode and listened to it again.

And damn… why do we hold ourselves to an impossible standard for photos? Why do we need every image to be flawless? And who even decided what “perfect” looks like?

Real Talk: What Are You Waiting For?

Let that question sink in:

What’s stopping you from seeing yourself as worthy right now?

Is it a story from the past? A number on the scale? A mythical future version of you? Or are you just waiting on that Brazilian Butt Lift you’ve been saving for? (Kidding… kind of. Not endorsing it, promise.)

Here’s the truth:

You show up every day. You go to work. You talk to friends. You take up space and make an impact—just as you are. So why not celebrate this version of you?

The Lens Isn’t Your Enemy

I’m not saying you need to come in monthly for a branding shoot (unless, of course, you want to… twist my arm 😏). What I am saying is:

👉 Love who you are today.

👉 Don’t be afraid of the lens—or the mirror.

👉 Let people see you the way you deserve to be seen.

Post that selfie. Share the imperfect moment. Be visible. You’re already awesome.

What It’s Like to Work with Me

If you know anything about me, you probably know two things:

  1. I’m your biggest hype man.

  2. I’m a certified goofball.

When you book a personal branding session, get ready to laugh, sip something delicious (coffee or cocktails welcome), and feel like a freakin’ cover model.

Most of my clients opt for packages that include professional hair and makeup—which I love. It gives us time to chat, get comfortable, and ease into the session. It’s not just about looking your best—it’s about feeling your best.

After glam is done, we do a walk-through. I’ll show you all the backdrops, lighting setups, outfit ideas, and posing inspiration we’ll use to bring your vision to life. This is where the fun really begins.

And yes—you might just say, “OMG, I look like my own Pinterest board!”

During Your Session: Energy, Ideas, and Real Talk

During the shoot, I talk a lot. Expect a mix of:

  • Posing tips

  • Random business ideas

  • Lots of compliments

  • 1,000 ADHD-fueled shoot concepts

  • And real-time photo previews so you feel confident about every shot

When we’re done, you’ll have two options for selecting your final images:

  • Sit down with me right after the session

  • Or meet later (in person or online) for a cozy photo review

Either way, I’m there to help you see the real you—the one who is already enough. And yes, I’ll be lovingly honest if you need it. (I may or may not refer to bad angles as “looking like a thumb.” It’s a gift.)

Beyond Headshots

This isn’t just about business branding or headshots. I’ve done:

  • Couples sessions

  • Pet portraits

  • Beauty shoots

  • Best friend photo days

  • Creative editorial-style portraits

Whatever the occasion, the structure stays the same: we collaborate, we create, and we make magic.

Ready to See Yourself the Way I See You?

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to book that shoot—this is it.

You deserve to be seen. You deserve to feel confident.
